Will a thinline guitar pickguard work on a reg telecaster most know I am going to build one this spring or at least start building it.I have found a great looking pickguard I like very much.It would give my Telecaster a cool look I think. :sign13:

The control holes in the thinline pickguard are not in the same place as they would be on a standard telecaster's control plate. so if it's already drilled, that won't work.  But even if it's not drilled yet, I'm not sure the thinline pickguard will extend far enough into the lower bout to cover the control cavity.  I'm pretty sure it won't.  Maybe the hybrid 'guard is the way to go for you:

Yes I just found this out oh well look like I may need to get a thinline body.I guess it does not matter witch one I get I will still have fun building it and playing it.Thanks for your reply.I was on my way back here to take this silly ? I posted here off lol. :evil4:

Not silly. I've been genuinely asking myself this same question for a while now. I was hoping to use the Thinline 'guard on the hypothetical Tele I'll eventually end up building some day. Good to know it won't work. (Not really "good", but you know.)

Lol John I know all to well what you mean. And another thing is I have my stain here now but not sure if I even want that color any longer.Heck I'm not sure what color my Telecaster will be until it's done.
