Here she is, after many months of work. Well, a few months of work and many months of distractions i guess. She is called "The Sirens". My wife painted the body with oil paint, then we finish over it with high gloss lacquer - deep and glassy. Took forever to find out how to finish lacquer over the oil paint, but here it is. The body is alder with a quilted maple top and black accent line. The neck is birdseye maple, macassar ebony, standard thin with a compound radius. She has a Dimarzio PAF Joe in the neck and a Mo' Joe in the bridge. Master tone and master volume, both push pull to split the bridge and neck pickups. Wilkinson vintage trem, Grover locking rotomatic tuners, and a black tusq nut. The neck was finished with tru oil, i'll never use anything else - so perfect and smooth. She sounds amazing, looks amazing, definitely a success. There will be more of these to come.
