I have a black / red / black pickguard from warmoth on my fender strat - suits every style and looks nice! And not totally gilmour-ripoff You could try that one sometime=) Otherwise, niice!

Nuff for pickguards, like the headstock face.  Did you refinished it and stuck back the Fender decal ?

Well, well... I did change the pickgaurd to the Black Pearl. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days. No, I didn't repaint the headstock, Fender did some American Deluxe necks with a black headstock, both Strat and Tele. I put together a black/black Tele as well, that I should post soon too. By the way, I love it and have one just like it.
I took my first electric guitar, an 82'ish Jap Strat, and put on a loaded pickguard just like yours with Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials.
It's a great little axe...
