I was expecting to come home to these boxes, but they showed up just after I woke up. It's gonna be a real long day at work waiting to get back to it!
My first fully new  project in 3 years.
Vintage Tele, Total Vintage neck (roast maple, boatneck: a personal first!)

Nice. Just a heads up on the neck you may want to drill any holes just slightly larger than normal. The roasted necks are a little more brittle. If you look in the little packet with the decal I think the have a little warning in there. Good luck on your build take your time and savior the journey.

Last night I applied Minwax "charcoal" stain and 3 coats of wipe on poly and leveled frets and put pickups in their homes (more fiddly than past projects for some reason). Tonight I installed tuners and back ferrules. I'll let the finish set for a few days before bolting things down. I like these Radio Shack knobs.
 I like it very much.

This is my favorite project. Roasted boatneck feels like coming home. The only thing I’d like to improve is taking the gloss off the mint pickguard so it more matches the flat finish. Any suggestions?
