Pickups are in. Dug out the Wenge/Ebony strat neck. If it weren't for the gold frets I might contemplate seeing if I could have the headstock cut down. As it is... I think I'll just use it as is - it was never meant to be a tele (it's 24.75 for one thing) - it's just available at the moment without any additional cash outlay.

Waiting on the additional righty saddles and my body now. Planning on gloss over india ink. Might go with shellac for the pigment layer and then hit it with a wondercure clear gloss of some sort.

Righty saddles came in today. Woop woop. Can't wait for big stuff to show up. Looks like I cannibalized both the tuners and nut from my last build. Oh well - chrome tuners plus gold frets might look mighty fine with a chrome bridge plate and brass saddles after all.

I like those brass saddles with the chrome. With gold frets, it should look quite striking.

For noiseless with a twang, I would recommend TV Jones' Magna'tron. This beats a Mini-Humbucker or a P90 any day.

First go around is going to be GFS Neovin Pure Vintage. Already in hand and mounted (pictured).  Ordered some Wilkinson locking tuners (thumbwheel, not the ez lok) and a compensated nut. (Those are much cheaper nowadays that its no longer just EBMM (guitar included) and Earvana. Found a compensated bone nut for $15 shipped on ebay, us seller.  Once those and the body arrive, I'll have enough to string it up.

Hmm - not all the parts it seems I forgot to talk to Doug. Only I have no clue on a theme or design yet. Right now it's more of a "Telecaster with a few quirks not commonly available bought a few chunks at a time" than a "custom guitar". Perhaps something along these lines:
