Taking care of a Rosewood neck

No disrespect to anyone but I'd stay well clear of the WD40... Lizard spit is a fretboard conditioner - made with unfinished hardwoods in mind (rosewood / ebony).  Probably just as good on an unfinished neck made of the same stuff.  I believe it's orange oil.

I would not want to use something that is used to lube metal parts on wood. I leave that for the screen door when it squeeks! :guitaristgif:

and if you're not sure about it, just tape off your fretboard (and neck if neccasary) and use WD40 to polish your frets. dont see the issue here.
