YES BROWN! What a way to come home from work. Vintage body to go with a great canary neck I got a few years ago. I thought I knew what color I wanted, but now I might do clear based on these pics.
Swamp ash is a miracle of the earth.

Going clear and keeping the natural color of the body would make for nice contrast with the neck. 
Dying black and sanding back cab also make it pop to nice effect. 
Nice parts to find yourself working with!

That is nice swamp ash. It will look good with any transparent or clear finish. What about vintage tint?

That’s a gorgeous piece of Ash! If you want my completely unsolicited input, I think it’s screaming for a nice grainy Wudtone finish, like the Olympic Girl...
