So my first Warmoth arrived today in perfect condition  :hello2:. I'll have pictures tomorrow to show that it exists!

Here's the Info

Vintage White Alder Strat
Ziricote Fretboard on AAA Birdseye Maple Neck (gorgeous!) - Warmoth Pro, SRV Contour, Vintage Gloss Tint.
Schaller Mini Locking Tuners
Fender 6 Hole Vintage Bridge

Acme's been really slow getting me my pre-wired Lollar's. I ordered them 2 months ago and I haven't even heard anything so we'll see how that turns out...

Thanks Warmoth!

How do I post the actual photos onto the board? It'd be a lot easier for everyone else to see them I'd imagine...

Hi is that a unique choise fretboard? looks killer dude! What kind of pickguard are you looking for?

Now that's what I call birdseye maple!!!

Any reason for the backwards wrap around the tuners?
(It's usually done the other way...better tuning stability etc...)

Thanks! I'm so happy with the guitar I love it! The FB is unique choice, FB259 was the number I think. My pickups and pickguard arrived this morning so I'll put up some finished pictures later. It'll have a white gloss pickguard..white/black/white. I re-strung the strings last night too. Not sure why I strung them like that the first time round!

so heres a question for you guys.
the action on my guitar is pretty good after adjusting the truss rod and bridge. the low E buzzes a little more than i'd like when i fret past the 12th but it's not too big of a deal. However, the high E and B strings have a weird almost sitar like sound when i pluck them without the amp, like a really metallic sonic sound. When the guitar is plugged in it's not as noticable though the tone is a little different. any ideas of how to fix this? i just want the guitar to be perfect, as it could be! i don't know if maybe it's something with the bridge or something else...

Max is most likely correct.  On my Warmoth neck the last couple of frets (near the body) were high - really high.  A fret level fix it.

I like vintage white.  Good looking Strat!

First off, did you re-string your guitar correctly? Don't try to fix anything till you take care of that. This is assuming you are talking about the open string sound, which is not going to be caused by a high fret (unless it's a REALLY high fret!):

1. Install a string tree - that's what they are for. If the sound continues:

2. listen carefully to where the sound occurs - if it's near the nut, is the nut slot angled backward a bit? You might have a bit too much play at the front side of the nut slot, combined with a poor string angle (no string tree). Bill Nash has a nice thing on nut setup on this website, sorry no time to google for you.
3. It could be that there is a rattle or resonance thing going on at the bridge saddles - make sure both height adjustment screws are firmyl touching the base of the bridge, one of them could be just kind of floating on top of the bridge plate, waiting to make a high-pitched whine when you pluck the string.

Try playing an E chord with 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers and your first finger behind the nut resting on the strings.  If it goes away then you might need a string tree to add a little down angle on those strings.  If the sound goes away it is because the strings were rattling in the nut slots making the sitar-esque sound.

Alright. I checked the nut, and it seems to be fine. I messed around with the bridge a little bit too...lowering it a little by tightening the screws, making sure they're all screwed completely and the same level. Still a sitar sound, in fact it was worse when I lowered the bridge so I raised it a little again. I'd take it to a pro but I've just heard stories of people bringing their guitars to get tuned up and they're still not properly set up aftewards. I think I should though. The strings buzz, low E in particular. Too much for me to fix. Still love the guitar though.

Since the sounds your describing are probably due to fret interference, its exactly why it got worse as you lowered the bridge.  Does that sitarish sound sound off on all frets?

If there's a high fret, a straight edge should be able to find it. Raise the saddles up until the buzzing's gone. If that's not high enough, then I think you might need to get a fret level or shim your neck to an angle. Ask one of the experts, though. I'm going on memory of secondhand knowledge, not experience. (well, the 21st fret on my tele is a tad bit high, so the action is a bit higher than what I would've set it I guess)
