It took me a minute, but now I see the side dots appear to be on the WRONG side of the neck.  Nice one!

Who knows?  I can't see the other side to see if there are dots there too, but maybe it was originally a lefty neck done as a parts build.  Maybe they had a 20% off sale too.

I particularly like how the pickguard is routed for pickups other than J or P Bass pickups.  Does W do that?

That is REALLY cool.  Looks like a Strat body with a bass neck ...

That actually really bugs the crap out of me.

The switch just looks really weird rear routed, with a pickguard "cutout" around it.
I think some of Steve Vai's JEMs are like that, and it always bugged me.
It's such a nice clean look to have a blade switch just mounted straight on a pickguard. It doesn't draw so much attention to that area.
