It's been fourteen months since the body came, and the neck arrived this morning.

Two previous necks were tried. Fatback defeats Standard Thin.

Cool combo.....nice Swamp Ash ya got there.....I like the Fatback Necks....great for Straty Bluesy stuff alot of meat to bend into, Im going with the 59 Roundback on my next one, it will be interesting to note the comparisons of the two.

The Fatback is definitely superior to any other neck I have played. Fits my huge hands, still allows fast play. Don't think I can go back to Standard Thin. Nice looking Strat! Good to see someone besides me going with Single Coils.  :icon_thumright: Once I get my Jaguar back I'll have two guitars. You have me considering another Strat with a sexy piece of wood like yours, now. Damn you!  :icon_jokercolor: Seriously, though, it really pleases me to see a "traditional" strat build with some twists (the neck, for instance). Very cool.  :cool01:

"Traditional with tweaks" is exactly what I prefer in most everything.

Nothing would make my life sweeter than to be able to make ones like this and sell them for a living.

Took off the trem cover and sanded and tung oiled the holes.
And sanded the neck to 320.
