And the Tone Gods smiled because they knew their secrets would not die with the current generation...  :laughing7:

Yes, I'm kind of partial to high-grade neck wood.
Here is the back of it.

Oh, yes, I do love that picture. One just really jumps out.

That's one of the coolest things ever, pass on the gift of music, and the love of guitars... :hello2:

My boy just turned eleven.  Here he is behind the drum kit his grannie got him for his birthday. Is he over the moon?  I'd say he is.

THis is the kit I found for him (and Grannie funded the purchase of):

Everything looked very well made as I assembled it, but there were one or two places where the adjustment screws were poorly located.  But they are pretty much set-and-forget adjustments so he won't have to mess with them every time he settles down to practice.

Here's hoping he leans more toward Charlie Watts than Neil Peart...

Bagman,
That is very cool that he is playing. I hope you have the opportunity to play with him on stage some day.  :icon_thumright:

I already have, but with him in a less prominent capacity.  We have a family reunion where between 50 and 150 friends and family show up every two years.  My siblings and my uncles all get out guitars and stuff and play Dylan and Beatles and CSN&Y tunes into the night.  He's been sitting in since he was two years old, playing harmonica, tambourine, whatever someone could put in his hands.  He's a natural performer and has solid time, and he never misses a note when he sings.  If I didn't love him so much I'd probably have to hate him for being so at ease with all this.

Father's Day was awesome, is all I'm sayin'.

Peace

Bagman

That's awesome. My son is only 2 months old now, and I can't wait til he starts wanting to get into my guitars. Yeah the thought of him getting his hands on them when I'm not supervising kinda freaks me out, but I really hope he takes an interest in them or any musical instrument, really.

This was a couple of months ago, when my daughter was about 3-4 months old:

Dude she rocks!!! I'm just glad she did not get seasick with all that bouncing around.  :laughing7:

Yes I have seen that guitar; in fact I think I killed a few brain cells on that one.  :laughing3:

Somebody is growing up fast.
