Lbpesq said:+1 on using inserts and machine screws. Especially on guitars with the truss rod adjustment at the heel, necessitating loosening/removing the neck to adjust the truss rod. Helps alleviate any chance of stripping the wood. I've never understood Leo's design in this regard.

You are correct sir Moria did suffer that fate. I was thinking of the mithril shirt that is given to Bilbo after being retrieved from the hoard of Smaug in the Lonely Mountain and where the last screws of mithril I was able to order for a princely sum on FeeBay were apparently sourced... I was assured they were genuine :laughing7:
