First, a quick disclaimer; in May, I was in the Florida Keys Tarpon fishing, and at night, I would get on the Warmoth 'Body Builder' and go round-and-round
with a black Strat design. Finally decided this was it, and put in the order...The NEXT NIGHT, I got on this forum, and there was Cagey's black Tele w/vintage-tint masked binding!! So, I SWEAR this Strat was 'put together' BEFORE I saw Cagey's Tele!! Had to say that....
OK, some specs: Spruce top on chambered alder(weight is well under 3lbs!)
                            Vintage tint natural masked binding
                            Bocote/bocote neck, '59 roundback, 6100ss frets
Duncan Alnico II Pro neck, JB bridge
                            SuperVee 'Bladerunner' Trem

Good looking parts Great Ape, they should make one graet looking guitar! Looking forward to seeing it all put together.
How do you like the Bladerunner by the way?

Yeah yeah yeah  ...Sure  :laughing7:  … I got the same excuse with my SG Graf Yellow, was ordered before Jumble Jumble's showed up.
Oh well  :dontknow:  …. that happens.

OH YEAH BABY    HOT HOT HOT

Plus welcome to the world of plain coloured finishes, and the Bocote club  :headbang:

Heard goods things about the Super V, so like to know how you go with it yourself.

:icon_scratch:  You now …..
I really NOT think that is your style of guitar Great Ape and think you should sent that to me ASAP.

BTW ….. Glad ya got the posting of pic's organised too  :laughing7:

Thanks, guys...The BladeRunner Trem is my new favorite system; good sustain & tuning stability. The company is SuperVee, which is the name of their
locking-nut system which doesn't suit my needs. the BladeRunner is a vintage replacement, drop
in trem (no alteration to guitar) that I first tried on my red Warmoth Strat, and I was impressed
by it right away....

That's gonna be very sharp!

Incidentally, my Tele came out of the Showcase, so you've got more thought into yours than I do mine.

Why a laminate top if it's gonna be 'covered up'? So I can also have a chambered body--at my age, lighter is very often a blessing. And thank you, Cagey,
for the gracious response.
                                        Best, Greg

Did anyone on the forum tell you yet: there's a rule that if you don't learn to play some special kinds of music on a neck like that, Warmoth is going to take it back and reward it to the first forumite who tells you about the rule? :icon_scratch:

Well, I do know that you're NOT allowed to play "CHOPSTICKS" on it.....and "CROSSCUT SAW" might be pushin' yer luck....

Simple 3-way; Neck, Neck&Bridge, Bridge....I am no fan of complex wiring/pickup options, FOR ME--I have enough to think about just rememberin' what
key I'm in! The switching systems some of you guys come up with gives me vertigo  :tard:

Cool. I like simple too (well, simple on the outside - don't mind a bit of complexity inside as long as it hides between a simple, easy system on the outside).

That NECK looks WOW with all those parts that will be sonic Heaven. Also interested in your
thoughts on the SuperVee. Is there anyone down in the Keys that can verify your story?
(Just kiddin'). Lookin' forward to this build real nice. :rock-on:
