Sperzel staggered tuner solution

Hi all, I think I figured out a solution to the staggered tuner height problem.  I ordered some 10mm x 14mm x .3mm shim washers from ebay and used them instead of the stock washers. I found the .2s to flare out too much when tightened, and these are just barely adequate.

looks like the e and a tuner holes were partially blocked by the stock washers and he replaced them with thinner washers fully exposing the tuner string hole.  He found the .3 washers to work best.  I think?

Sorry, I breezed right past that. Exactly- the slightly thicker Warmoth pegfaces cause an issue where the aperture of smallest post from the staggered Sperzel set is partially blocked by the nut used to secure the tuner. By using a thinner washer (the stock washers are 1mm thick), I was able to get enough clearance so the hole was no longer blocked. I had searched the forum earlier on this issue, but I did not see any solutions other than, "dont use staggered tuners." I wanted to share my work around.

Now the original post makes sense.

In addition to Sperzel's there are many staggered tuners from Hipshot, Schaller etc that work with Warmoth headstocks without having to look for thinner washers.

I hope my locking Gotoh tuners work ok. They have adjustable posts. Kluson style ones, with no thumbscrew.
