Specs for Warmoth Necks

I'm going to buy a Stratocaster neck and I'm trying to decide what neck profile I want. I have a close equivalent to the "standard thin" neck. I want something at least as large as the "59 roundback". I'm thinking the fatback may not be to my liking since it has no taper from head to 12th fret. Question is, how well do the specs given on the web page match up to the actual necks that arrive at your door?

Final sanding is done by hand so not all necks are the same 100%. I had three Fatbacks and all three were a little different but little may be a big thing to some people. I finally sold the fattest because it made my hand sore after a while. I prefer the '59 these days which is a medium to thick profile.

Question is, how well do the specs given on the web page match up to the actual necks that arrive at your door?

They're made on CNC machines, so they're pretty predictable and consistent. Fine sanding may change them slightly, but it would be very slightly. I would guess less than .001" variation, but I've never measured it to know for sure.

Thanks for the replies fellas, I appreciate it. Sounds like the necks run uniform in size. I just want to avoid ordering one size and getting something that is closer to another size.

I plan to order stainless steel 6100 jumbo frets on a 59 roundback neck. I'm hoping the combination will give me a nice full feeling neck.

I'm sure you'll be happy with that configuration. I put SS6100s on everything I have a choice about. The only caveat is they're really tall, so they take some getting used to. It's easy to bend notes out of tune because of the height. You need to have a light touch with them when playing chords. Other than that, they're great. You can really get a grip on the strings, so you can stretch them to hell and back. Plus, stainless frets are super-hard so it's like playing on greased glass. You'll be surprised at how easy they are to play.

I've had one 59 Superwide roundback (showcase) and 3 Superwide Fatbacks (custom specifications). They all came in true to measurements.

btw - on the Fatbacks - it's a little odd at first to have no taper. But, you get used to it quickly.
