I picked up a carvin clubmaster recently. It's a 1x12 100/50 watt combo tube amp.

I'm looking for more low end and a warmer tone. suggestions?

Not being a fan of Celestions at all, I'd recommend Eminence Swamp Thangs. Great low end, nice top end roll off which avoids fizzy highs, and the mids are voiced really well, good mid presence with none of that obnoxious bark for which (to me) Celestions are notorious.

Eminence make my faviourite speakers.  They have all sorts of different styles and wattage ratings.  They literally have something for everyone - especially for you  :)

Very true, they do have a pretty extensive line.

so being as my amp is rated at 100watts i'm going to need at least a 100watt speaker right? preferably something closer to 150?

It's also got an ohm switch from 4, 8, 16. what will the difference be when choosing a speaker?

My solution to every thing guitar speaker related is Celestion Vintage 30, unless you can find JBL D110x/120x speakers, either in working order or to repair...

Yes, at least a 100W rated unit.
With a tube amp, the ohm difference sometimes equates to a different feel and or tone, but that's usually subjective. No difference in output.

It seems like the Eminence Swamp Thang would do the trick. 150w, and supposed to have a great low end which i hope would tame some of the highs coming out.

Anybody have any experience with it?

Um, yeah.  :-)
Great sounding speaker with great lows and tame mids, as I mentioned. Nice roll-off on the highs. One of my favorite speakers, 2nd right after the EVM12L. My main gig rig has 2 Swamp Thangs and 2 12Ls. Killer.
