Spalted Tele anyone.......

Great looing guitar.  I diggin' the spalt.....

My buddy Wayne has the BK Piledriver set in his Jap 52RI tele, and they rock.  They are nice and chunky, but definitely still retain the Tele character.  Good choice.

Not sure about the black hardware, but I'll reserve judgment until I see it.  It could work, it did on Jack's strat.

Another great build from the RiverBluff......Keep 'em coming.

On a completely different subject though, whats a dark, or brown colored and bright sounding wood? i'm thinking about my guitar neck..........

Well, I bought a walnut soloist, and it has one pup, and i want bright as in a soloing guitar 80's Metallica bright. I heard wenge is good but i do need to do some research. And as always asking and talking to people is a good idea.

As far as I know they used Gibson Flying V in that age, so all Mahogany with rosewood fingerboard... nothing bright from the woods, but from pickups...

Yeah if you want "80's Metallica" bright, you need the EMG 60/81 combo...
