Hey guys,

I've been searching for a while trying to locate a source for bright green or neon green nitro. I've only found one place (Great Lakes Custom Color) but they are located in Canada and won't ship to the US. I have my next project in the works and I'm dead set on going with neon green and will wait on this project until I can find some or until Great Lakes starts shipping to the US again. I'll take rattle can or tins as I do have a spray gun. Also, I've never mixed my own color but if it's not too difficult I suppose I'd be open to trying that. Anyone know of any sources I don't?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Where’d you get the sample? If you do want to purchase. Did they give a retailer besides home depot?
I dont have notes handy but there was a third-party company that manages samples for them (and 100 other companies). I had to sign up there and it took them a couple of weeks but eventually they confirmed my shipping address and it showed up a week later.

Dayglo referreed me to their product page on Knowde.com and I requested the sample from there...

you can dig around for Green here: https://www.knowde.com/stores/dayglo/products?category=markets-paints-coatings

I chatted about this and similar topics of off-the-wall colors for guitars with my wife after another forum said that it's pretty much just nail polish (just that the per-ounce price of nail polish vs. the quantities required for finishing work is a bit misaligned ;) ). She pointed me to Mooncat and we both spent quite a bit of time just marveling at the off-the-wall colors as my mind started spinning with all the things I could do on a guitar with those.

Definitely not a full guitar body as I think that would be something ridiculous like $1,300 for all the nail polish needed to get good coverage.

But maybe something small like the tops of control knobs or even the edge of a pickguard. Worth experimenting with, and my wife was very supportive of the idea since she'd end up with any of the bottles I don't end up emptying. Win-win! :D
