Well I did grow up here but this year I miss the days I lived in Kent Washington. We got in the neighborhood of 7 feet of snow in about a week. It is absurd Christmas day was trying to take my daughter to see the new Star Wars movie and a few blocks from my house went from clear to whiteout creeped back home with only a few feet of visibility.
My wife is jealous of the snowblower because I spend so much time with her I mean it. Why do you spend so much time with that thing. Which I replied "She has a name it is Claire. "  I think I need help.  :dontknow:

I sympathize, but better you than me, man.  Don't get too attached to Claire.  She's a foul-weather friend.

Sounds like you've got about twice as much snow as we have!  It's been cold here though - we need to get the kids out to dig some tunnels once it warms up. :)

This is the biggest I have seen here. We do on quite a few occasions get 20+ inches but this time it was more and  after blowing out show up to your knees you have to try to get some that is up to your waist. I just cleared it. Last few years lulled me into a false sense of security.

Snow hasn't been record-breaking here in Michigan, but the temperatures have been brutal. Dog doesn't even look  for chipmunks, she just does her business and makes a beeline for the door to come back in.

We haven't had a ton of snow down here in central Ohio, either, but we have the same (well, probably not the same) brutal temperatures.  I got to work the other day and the car thermometer said -10.  Mind you, that's out in the middle of nowhere, where when the wind picks up in Colorado we feel it.  Wind chill was probably -20 or worse.  I can only imagine how bad it would be for our neighbors to the north.

Overnight low tonight is forecast to be -28C (-18F).  Tomorrow's daytime forecast is -23C.  Windchill is on top of that  :)

Well, duh! If it's only -28C, what else you gonna do? Man's gotta eat!

We had a light rain and a low of 48F last night.  Today it's breezy, partly cloudy and 52F in San Jose.  High should be 61-63F.  Perfect weather for a walk in a light sweater.

It's no wonder people vote the way they do in California. Every day is kittens and sunshine, interspersed by rainbows and unicorns. I hate you guys so much.

Incidentally, gotta room you wanna rent? Preferably one that can hold a big screen pornograph, a bed, and a fully functional guitar shop...

Hello friends,

Here's a report from the other hemisphere : hot, humid, sweaty Xmas ...

I know it's difficult to get your head around, but down here Christmas is in the hottest time of the year.

Greetings from Sydney, Oz !

Sorry, Kevin; we have all the wise-ass know-it-alls we can house right now, what with the seventeen-year-old boy, his six-year-old-brother, the occasional visits from the twenty-year-old sister, and of course yours truly and the Missus. But once the youngsters are more firmly on the road to independence, who knows?

Where does the time go?

Doesn't seem like it was that long ago when that six year old was born, and subsequent stories about the (literal) impact he's had on some of your fiddles.

I was surprised to see at Christmas one of my grand nieces is as tall as I am (her dad is about 18' tall), and it seems like she was just a baby about 15 minutes ago. And of course, my granddaughter is running around like a puppy who's had too much sugar even though she was just born about 12 minutes ago and couldn't even hold her own head up, while my daughter-in-law is about to drop another one in the next couple weeks.

Meanwhile, my best friends and heroes are dying off due to decrepitude and worse, and my fantasies are turning into nightmares. Can you imagine seeing Dawn Wells (MaryAnn of Gilligan's Island) naked today? She's 79 years old, fer crissakes!

Fortunately, I'm still only 16 years old, so I'm pretty sure I know a lot more about everything than anybody :laughing7:

Ok Cagey, there's many theories about time and the concept of time, which probably will take too much space here on this forum, but I'm pretty sure some of those numbers are a liiiittle bit off, no matter what theory we're looking at :icon_jokercolor:

Hehe! Yeah, well. Wait until you're pushing 60 or you get trapped in your own house due to disability, then talk to me about how time warps :laughing7:
