Long time lurker...first time poster...and this is my first warmoth project.

The details:
Build details as follows:
- Black Korina body with a Zebrano (or Zebrawood) laminate top - rear routed.
- Goncalo Alves Neck with Wenge Fingerboard
- Hipshot tuners (including D-Tuner) and string through bridge (going the Hipshot A) - Chrome Hardware including knobs
- Mick Brierley Pickups in a P/J Setup (Passive)- Mick is a fantastic custom pickup builder from Australia
- Not 100% sure of electronic setup. I have 2 standard pots and a push pull pot available. Interested in hearing options - thinking either series/parrallel mod, or push/pull tone pot with different caps for different tones.

Would appreciate thoughts on finish (danish oil or tru-oil) and electronics options.

Pictures as follows (excuse the poor quality of my phone)

Welcome aboard!
Great body/neck combo, I'll bet you'll be grinning from
here to .-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ear.
I can't help ya with the wire. Don't know enough.
But I would vote Tru-oil for the finish.
Good luck and please keep us in the pictures

Welcome. Looks nice!

For a rear route, if you want to play with wiring options, you can always jumper things up and try before committing to something that might not be particularly useful. FWIW, I'm one who definitely likes options - but only if they're useful.

Wiring depends on what you are trying to get out of the bass.  I personally like a single vol and tone on a bass, I am opposite for a guitar.  Also, the ability to put both the pickups in series gives you the growl/overdrive sound.  I like that a lot as well.  I tend to model my bass sound after Mark Sandman from Morphine, so the bass pickups spend a lot of time in series.

Either or those two finishes have a good reputation.  There are lot of examples of Tru Oil finishes around, and Doug (Mr. Dangerous) did a body with Danish Oil.  Looks like a lot of fun.
