Right, so use the shims, because you can't really f that up and it's completely reversible.
The radius you're aiming for at the bridge is about 18.5" but a while back I did lots and lots of maths, and in the end the shims that are available are a certain height which doesn't allow a completely mathematically correct radius. So I have two each on the two E strings, and one each on the A and B strings, which is a good approximation. Works great.
