Semi-hollow recommendation

Hello, as this is a request for some completely non-Warmoth advice (although a Mooncaster might be the answer), I figured this was the right area. I'm currently getting the 4-5year urge to have a semi-hollow guitar, and I'm hoping to avoid the inevitable "selling it because it isn't quite right," result I usually get.

I've have Dots, 335s, 339s (both Epiphone and Ibanez copies), and I always come back to not being happy with the scale length. This is true for all guitars, my hands just don't work right on shorter scale lengths (probably because I'm usually playing bass).

So... Anypne know of a 25.5" 335-type guitar?

You want one that looks sort of like a 335 or sounds like one?
Recipe for sounds like one:  Mahogany Telecaster Thinline, with a mahogany or goncalo neck.  Neck being the most important part.  If you like thicker neck profile, mahogany will probably be better.  Top it off with a TOM bridge, but... if you can, set the tail piece back further by about an inch.  Use either 57 classic/classic + or burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups, or if you want something very "musical" go for a pair of Phat Cat pickups from Duncan.
That'll get you the tone.

Thanks for the suggestions.

What I'm looking for is everything 335, but with a 25.5" neck. I like the size and shape of the body. I like the tone. I just don't like the scale length...

Maybe Guild made a semi hollow in that scale length? I don't think they are now, but they've had a lot of changes over the years.

Depending on your taste you might not think a 25.5 guitar sounds like a 335 because I think the longer scale length tends to make a snappier attack. Others probably disagree.

Closest I can think of might be an older Carvin at 25".
Even Ibanez puts all their hollow bodies into the 24.75" scale.

If you can afford one, Gretsch makes some hollowbody, 25,5” scale guitars. Like this custom shop Falcon. Only $12499!

Yeah... That's a little out of my price range.

However, after poking a round a bit, the Gretsch G2622 might be what I'm looking for. Now to see if there's one nearby to take for a test run.  Thanks for the Gretsch tip.
