After doing a quick search, There doesn't seem to be to many people here, that use SD Triple Shots.  :icon_scratch:
I use them on certain guitars and think there good.
May-be because they ....
Only come in Cream or Black, pity ...... I know Auto Bat would just kill for a set in Gold  :laughing7:

So ....
1) Anyone used them on Bare Knuckle Pups ?

I have a great set of BKP's Humbuckers, Mule (N) and Abraxas (B) on this …

Seriously thinking of doing some surgery on this, using the T Shots on it, as they are black mount rings anyway.
Plus it's one of my most used Warmoths.  :headbang:  ..... absolutely killer guitar !!

Also wondering if these are good to use on some of those more powerful pickups.
ie: SD's Invader or Dimarzio's X2N etc etc
As you could tame them down a bit by splitting etc.
I do have one on a SD Dimebucker which is kind-of in the powerful group, works great on that.  :guitarplayer2:

So ....
2) Anyone else use them ?  ......... and with what pup's ....

Thanks  :icon_biggrin:

I bought a set cheap a while back that I'm gonna put on my Explorer/baritone. The pickups will be some Suhr humbuckers I also have in my magic bag of cheaply purchased guitar stuff  :icon_biggrin:

This will for my part be some sort of "test".

Why?

1. It's a long time since I gotten over "the million switching possibilities"-guitars and prefer a simple switching layout.

2. I really don't like mounting rings made of plastic. IMO it degrades the look of otherwise fantastic Warmoth builds.

Originally I intended using them with some P-rails on a Ibanez Talman I have. But there I took the approach of using a 3-way microswitch to select between the P90/HB/Rails modes. Again - simple layout.

As I am writing this I still feel I should rather go with metal mounting rings and a 3-way. Let's see what it actually ends up with?

Sorry for not really being entirely on topic here.  :help:

Yep did a similar thing when I used P-Rails, as they have the chrome hum rings needed.

Yeah now what you mean about plastic verses the metal rings  :icon_thumright:

Bought a set of two, one of which is going in my next build. Not sure what happens to the second one yet.

But not having actually used it yet, I'm thinking a push/pull or mini switch would probably be easier to navigate if you don't need every option.

I use P-rails with and without the TS switching rings.  A three-way mini switch is also nice (and what I use in my LP JR), but it doesn't easily give you the series/parallel option.  I haven't tried other pickups in the rings, but I imagine they're equally awesome... if you're looking for the options.  The guitars I use the TS rings with are with a simple Class A amp in a Tom Waits/Morphine inspired roots group, and I actually use all the tones.  Here's my opinion:

Good:
-Lots of switching options that make sense
-The switches aren't garish looking (80s cringe)
-Easy to install
-Inexpensive with no modifications needed to a standard HB route

Bad:
-Black plastic (love it or hate it... it only works for me on some guitars)
-Subtle switches aren't as much fun as something that gives a definitive "click"

Anyway, I think they're something that everyone should give a try at some point.  I wish they could be made in something sturdier that isn't black plastic.

-Mark

Seriously considered them until I tried some in someone else's guitar.  The change in tones was neat but they feel flimsy and cheap to me.  I'd buy them in a minute and pay more if they were metal and the switches were more substantial.  SD should produce a set thats higher quality and I think they would find people would pay for the added cost.

I use them in several guitars, the construction is cheap...cheap... one of them broke in the base of the board where the 4 wire flat cable comes out.
They work fine but I like to see a metal version, hope to upload picks over the weekend.♫

I have them on all my guitars now & don't know what I did before them. So many different tonal possibilities & so effortless to use.
