Schecter necks and bodies?

That gave me a good 10 second laugh :icon_biggrin:

FWIW, I have a 2005-ish Schecter Tempest that I played exclusively for a couple of years. It's nice and all, very well made and no complaints about finish etc but it lacks personality, much due to the pickups I think. And I never got along with that TonePros ToM, I'm not a violent player at all but kept whacking the low E string out of the saddle. The low weight makes it fell really flimsy too.

So it's a good guitar but it lacks character - feels a bit generic - and I've found a buyer for it. I think it goes without saying that any "custom shop" instrument will at the very least have a lot more character than any off the shelf counterpart.

I have a Schecter Tempest Blackjack as my main live guitar.

What I like about it: built like a tank, loads of sustain, plays well with low action, great neck pickup, stays in tune.
What I don't like: too heavy & bulky, neck too thick and gloss finished, a bit uncomfortable to play sitting down, bridge pickup a bit suspect (it's a Seymour Duncan JB one-trick pony, which I will get round to replacing when I have more experience with soldering.)
