Schaller Hannes on Carved Top

I have a VIP body & want to install a Schaller Hannes Bridge. I'm just a little concerned that the Carve top will mean the bridge doesn't sit fly flat to the body. Aside from cosmetics, will their be any functional issues with having a flat bridge mounted to a carved body??  (assuming it's correctly & accurately installed & measured)
I don't really care if there's visually a slight gap at either end of the bridge  (most of my guitars have trems / Floyd's anyway so naturally float above the body top anyway).

I just want to make sure I don't run into any severe tuning, intonation or weird issues using this bridge in a carved Top.

Isn't the carved top VIP body actually flat where the bridge mounts, and carved towards the sides?

Unfortunately the carve is quite steep so although the middle is flat, a standard flat bridge will have either side (Either E saddle) slightly hanging over the carve so to speak.... I'm just wondering whether this is ok or not.
