S-X-H question

Most humbuckers don't tap, but can be split.
When you split, one coil will be RWRP from the other, so pick the coil that is RWRP from the neck pickup.

Typically a middle pickup is north up, and reverse wound. The typical humbucker is screw side coil, south up standard winding, slug side coil north up reverse wound. So you would pair the middle pickup with the screw side bobbin which is also typically the first coil in the series when wired up.

Hmm. No kidding. Should probably write that tidbit down somewhere. Of course, I'd never find it again...

Or you could just bookmark this thread.

I'm afraid I have so many bookmarks that it's gotten to the point where they don't function well as bookmarks any more. That is, they're not much of a time-saver for me. They're a mini-web of their own, and I don't remember what's in there.

Some time back, I saw that coming and started organizing them into a tree structure, so all I'd have to do is remember categories. That worked to a degree, but it grew layers. So, now I'm to the point where it's faster/easier to simply use Google. It's fast and easy and good. I modified my browser's address line so it does double duty as a search entry line, so if I type in an URL, it goes directly there. If it's not recognizable as a URL, it automatically feeds what I've typed to Google. So, I can pretty much type in anything I want on my address line and get happy.

So you don't actually have to bookmark the goth-plumper-hamster-crushing-stiletto-heels adult imagery?  Mighty convenient, that!

You got that right. Every step you can cut out of the never-ending quest for um... educational materials... is a minute saved. You only get so many minutes in your life, so...
