Round Two

I'm very sorry to hear all this.  For what it's worth (and I'm just some guy on the internet - what do I know?), please don't throw it away.  Put the parts in a box, put the box under the bed, and walk away for a month or two.  For me, my first re-finishing job (on a warmoth jazz-bass neck) ended up so bad that I put it away for several years.  When I eventually re-visited it, I managed to fix all my mistakes and it became a beautiful instrument. 

Update:  and here is the instrument.  Not a lot of shots of the back of the neck, but it is pretty flamey!
