Roasted maple BODY!?

I'm in love the roasted maple necks warmoth are making.
Any idea if they are going to do bodies as well?
I'm having visions of a completely raw all maple Tele!

Raw bodies of any wood are not a great idea unless you love the color grey...

I'm curious why you think the bodies might end up grey when the necks don't.

As for why no roasted Maple bodies, I suspect the process doesn't allow for large pieces of wood.

Most bodies get dingy without a finish on them. I can't imagine that roasted maple would be any different. On the surface, it's no different than regular maple, alder, ash, basswood, etc.

That's actually what I like about the roasted maple. The ability to have that maple tone
But not have to put a thick, tone killing finish on it, and I like the stained up nasty look.
I too don't think it would go grey.

Turning grey was a hyperbole, but that's basically what I meant. The dirt and sweat look that makes raw bodies gross.
