That's a brave bit of work, sir.  One quick question:  Where did you source the shiny Sperzels?  I can't seem to find them but in the bead-blasted or anodized finish.

Thank You  :icon_biggrin:

Shiny (Chrome) Sperzels here .....  http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/guitar_index.htm
                                                  http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/tuners_6inlinesperzel.htm
It's what I've used on most of my builds.

Very nice! The red to black sunburst reminds me of my first guitar.

This guitar is soooo much nicer, though! Another masterpiece!

Thank you all so much.  :icon_biggrin:

I think you need a(nother) switch...

:icon_thumright:
...... So there is another clown living here, inside of my iMac screen   :icon_jokercolor: ...... Gee & I thought Cagey was going to be the one to say that.  :laughing7:   :laughing3:  :laughing11:

Now if I didn't have those switches ….. It wouldn't be what it is and would be completely useless to me !!

:redflag: Oh please ..   :redflag: let me explain  :redflag: for those that get confused very easily (Bruno & Cagey) & those that just don't get it

In this pic is …
0693f947.jpg

A standard 3 Way Strat Switch (neck / both / bridge)
Between that & the GK-3 pickup are two small momentary push buttons for the GK-3
These are called Up / Down Buttons
I've replace the original larger one's that come with the GK-3 Kit to these smaller ones I've used here.
Used for changing patches on the VG-99 & GR-55 etc or other settings that you can dial into these buttons.
Then have, normal guitar's pickups, Volume & Tone Controls.
The 2 x Mini switches next to each other (which are On / Off / On) are for switching each pickup from
Single coil (front) ----- Humbucker (middle) ----- P90's (back)
:icon_scratch: Thats the whole purpose of the SD P-Rails, isn't it ?

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=prails_wiring
Volume at the back is for the GK-3.
Mini Switch at the bottom is for GK-3
It goes from just the, GK-3 (back) to both GK-3 & normal pickups, Mix (middle) to normal pickups, Guitar (front)

So as you see, my intention was to have everything rolled into one, can get many a variety of sounds just via the P-Rails pickups.  :icon_thumright:

Stick them though Guitar Rig or alike,
Add in something like 2 more guitar types from the VG-99 & then use the US-20 to bring in 2 sounds from the GR-55 and then
I have a wall of sound from one guitar.

Or can play as 'Guitar-To-Midi' driving my Virus Ti Synth or any other Synths, VST's etc.
Like this 1st Demo I did when I 1st got the VG -99, just using a Guitar, VG-99 & Virus Synth all in one go and Played on ONE Guitar !!

These sure are the best pickups to use, when building & having a GK-3 internal installed. Versatility at it's best  :icon_thumright:
Like having many many guitars in one.  :toothy10:

:sign13: Note ……
Just had to lower the height slightly on the P-Rails, so there was less magnetic pull on the strings.
As when there to close to the strings, it can upset the tracking of the Hex GK-3 pickup & cause unwanted sounds ... All Fixed Up   :toothy10:

Thanks again all.   :icon_biggrin:

Love the finish on that.  Amazing guitar
Thank you  :icon_biggrin: Yep it's getting plenty of use too ... Love it  :guitarplayer2:
But you should look at my Black Quilt Strat which has an even more incredible finish to it.
Was blown away with the Quilt on that one when I got it. It's a very High grade Quilt.

Whatever you do, don't replace those thin metallic switches with round curvy ones (I.e. LP) :icon_tongue:

Thanks Guys  :icon_thumright:
