Rear Rout Body - Pot Shafts

I know that Warmoth rear rout bodies need long shaft pots. My question here is whether this is the case for all rear rout bodies? Basically, is it a generally accepted standard that if you have a rear rout body you need long shaft pots?

That's my take, I've made 1/4" long shafts work in a rear rout, but you're not catching a lot of threads that way.

Generally speaking, I stock nothing but long-shaft pots, as they can usually be used in place of shorts by setting the mounting height/depth with a jam nut. The reverse isn't true, though - you can't use short parts where a long is needed.
