Raffle Guitar Build

I don't know... This body is pretty sweet and I hear that those P92's are pretty nice... and if blue doesn't like em, he can change em out for any two of a million humbucker options...

I'm sure W will get him a beautiful piece of RW. They don't really give out boring products, do they? Ask for quartersawn, I guess.

I like Markos pick, that's awesome, I expected a higher price for that body,  Theres enough left for a decent neck, and It would look good with a bigsby

I go out for some minutes of Carnival and you guys put me out of the choices...

Bad guys
Sorry Fernando

The polls were more mostly overwhelmingly in favor of one thing or another, except for laminate top.  That was a close race between IRW and Padouk.

What would you like to see in this L5S?

Relax!
I got 4 days out on Carnival... :laughing7:
I suspect that it would be very forward on the road :)

I gave this some serious thought.  I finally came to the conclusion that I would be compromising on a basic design point, the sweet P-90's.  It's beautiful, but I just can't do it.

Also, looks like I forgot to post this here.
------------------------------------------------------------
Laminate top: Indian Rosewood - 11 (36.7%)
Fretboard:      Ebony          - 7 (25%)
------------------------------------------------------------
So it looks like a Black Korina body with an Indian Rosewood laminate top, and a Wenge neck with an Ebony board.  Sounds pretty nice!

Probably single F-Hole, P-90's, TOM/Bigsby.

Hmmm...hardware color and knobs is pretty much all that's left.  I don't think you can get a black Bigsby, so its either Gold or Chrome.

A hollow BK L5S body with lamtop costs $397, +$15 for f-hole, +$170 for a clear finish = $582.  A wenge/ebony neck starts at $288.

That comes out to $870.

I'm still ok forking over a the extra to get it right.

I think you're right, don't compromise on the p90s! that is going to be a big part of the vibe!

That is just going to be the ultimate guitar with the ultimate tonewoods!! great team effort!

Have you thought about either 2 or 3 pickups?

Well Dan, if you're willing to shell out for looks, the neck and body would look great with ivoroid binding...  :headbang1:

Probably two, three might be a lil crowded.  Cream or Black though?

I'd go for cream.  I like contrast myself.

Cream! But what headstock?

LP LP LP LP LP LP!  :icon_biggrin:

Also, get the klanch to make you some Indian rosewood back covers for the switch and control cavity.

My vote goes to cream and gold... cream P90s, cream LP switch, gold hardware, gold bell knobs.  And cream binding... that would be so tasty... expensive tho :(

cream p-90s and chrome hardware... less expensive but still looks awesome. Whatever you do, don't touch the black hardware...

Did he get a suspension or did he get hit with the ban stick?
