I did the finish.  I used Feibling's leather dyes.  Alcohol based.    Then about 8 cans of spray on lacquer, followed by wet sanding, then final buffing.

Good job but severe warning is in order: Fiebing's alcohol leather dyes are insanely susceptible to fading.
Leave the guitar/body cased when unplayed if you want it to remain blue.

So basically what you're saying is that body will essentially be trans white in a months time?

If you keep it cased when you don't play it you'll be fine for quite a while, otherwise: yes.
