Well, that's pretty neat.  You can see the scoop out of the cutaway on the lower horn that's pure PRS, and of course the eagle inlays give it away.  But if anyone's qualified to deliver a high-end strat ripoff, PRS would seem to be.

Pual has big egos in his hight stands style and corporate identity, so to do a ripoff is definitely the last thing he wants to do, unless it is to securities a big star endorsement.

the bird was part of reason made me like PRS too, as I am a bird watcher and photographer for a long time before I spent more time on guitar building.

It's a colloquialism that usually means "strive for greatness" or "work toward the impossible" or "do your best" or something along those lines. Unless it's an old cowboy or gangster movie. Then it just means "put your hands up!" (as in "surrender") :laughing7:

Can't be. He clearly says "'scuse me, while I kiss this guy", and PRS Guitars didn't even exist back then, so I don't know who he was talking about. Maybe Leo? Or, his gun-toting buddy Joe with a zero-tolerance policy on infidelity?

As well as my Warmoths, I have a trio of PRS SE’s - two of them being EG models, which are quite ‘Stratty’. They do however, have the normal headstock and not that ugly offset one that’s on that JM model!

Not a fan. Although I do like the birds - more original than just dot inlays.

What, did they trade?  Fender let PRS make a John Mayer Strat in return for being allowed to make a Custom 22 copy?

If this is allowed, Gibson really doesn't have a leg to stand on with their "stop making guitars that look like our guitars" nonsense.
