Newbie questions here:
  • Warmoth's website says that it ships bodies "ready for finishing". Does this mean that I don't have to wipe them down the naphtha or fill the grain (in my case, I'll be working on an alder body and applying a Reranch seafoam green solid finish) and can go straight to the primer step?
  • At what point does one drill holes for the pickguard and bridge? Is this done after the finish is applied, or before? If before, does one need to temporarily fill those holes while applying the finish to keep paint, etc. from clogging those holes? I'm beginning to think that maybe I should trust the hole-drilling to a luthier, because I have neither the equipment nor the skills to do it myself.
