Problem with tru-oil on first build

First ever Warmoth and guitar build in general. I went with a white stain and got it to where I was happy and then started adding tru-oil. The first three coats were fine but after the fourth coat some spots are starting to yellow? Is this normal?

I'm worried I might have went too thick on the fourth oil coat. Wet sanding seems to help some but if I wet sand in some of the spots it starts to take the stain off. I'm really worried, what do I do?

What kind of stain did you use?

Did you use any kind of barrier coat such as Shellac between the stain and Tru oil?
Did you apply thin coats or thick coats of Tru Oil?

Do you have photos?

Lastly, I would stop worrying as the absolute worse case is you would start over. At the end whatever the medium used there are no real shortcuts to getting a good finish.

TO is amber in color and as it ages, it continues to darken!
