Problem with Fender pickup

I bought a Fender Pure Vintage '51 pickup set for a Tele build last year. After putting everything together the neck pickup worked fine, but the bridge only worked once, then nothing. After some fiddling around, the bridge would work again, but only once then stopped. I thought maybe it was my soldering so I got a solder-less kit that let me plug in the wires. Same thing (though it made things easier testing). I got the same result connecting the pickup removed from guitar body. The wiring on the pickup looks ok. Maybe some little wire is loose inside?

If the signal cuts out entirely it’s either being shorted to ground or not connected at all. Sounds more like the latter here.

Mind taking a high res picture of the pickup front and back?

Theres two little coil wires that connect to the pickup leads visible from the top - make sure those are intact and not touching any grounded connections.

Same thing on the back - look at how the baseplate was soldered. Does the hot lead have any way of contacting that ground?
