I have an SKB powered pedal board. I have a TC electronics Nova repeater. Everything else powers up but the repeater. From TC: 12V, center negative requirement, which I did. It lights up then goes out and doesn't stay powered.
I have contacted both TC and SKB, both of whom say contact the other. Any body with a powering up experience and a fix or do I have to just plug it into a wall socket?

Thanks so much.

Has the TC ever worked on the pedalboard?

Does it work when you plug it into the wall?

Have you tried more than one power lead from the pedalboard to the TC?

Have you tried unplugging all the other pedals on the board to see if it works that way?  It seems possible, although unlikely, that other pedals could conceivably give some interference.  I'm no EE major, though - I could be out to lunch there.

I guess the answer to all of these is probably yes, but it's how I would troubleshoot it on a basic level, at least.  Good luck.

Thanks Bagman. The TC hasn't ever worked on it and it does work when plugged into the wall. I have tried more than one power lead. I think it just needs more juice. I'm a novice at this but the lit says it needs 12V and 300ma. I think the SKB will only give it 100 ma. I have sent a few emails so we'll see. Worse comes to worst I'll plug it into an outlet.

In the 70's and 80's when I was a gigging guitarist I was so guitar to amp. Effects are new to me but there is some cool stuff out there. Always learning.

Thanks very much for the advice,
Cheers!

If you should decide to change boards, a guy I grew up with builds these:

They provide adequate amperage for your application, by the look of things.  I'm gonna buy one of his amps when I have a sufficient pile of mad money.

Man I wish I would have seen that before I bought. Very impressive.
