Not my usual flavor on here, but I'm listening to my nephew's new band, Late Bloom. My boy Roman Navarro provides rhythm guitar and monster vocals on this recording. As it happens, he is working as a video production intern for Glenn Fricker, which has really done a lot for him as a listener and a player. Anyway, if you're into heavy heavy metal, please enjoy.
Yeah, I'm with you - the verse vocal is not my thing, and the genre... well, not so much either. But the chorus vocals are actually really nice. And I'm with you on the demand for timing as well. Roman was kinda all over the place with his time for years, but he's spent the last year bearing down on his metronome practice and it's really paying off.
Some good lines ...
I'm thinking of a number between everything and two
...
She said I'll keep all the signals that you send home to me
And I'll meet you back here on the ground
It's lift off, lift off again
She's pissed off, pissed off again
...
And I need you back here on the ground
It's lift off, lift off again
She's pissed off, pissed off again
I'm thinking of a number between everything and two
And it's molecules of you
The combination of a talented female vocalist and the Russian language is a powerful one. Genres I’d generally find unappealing are suddenly more interesting.
