Poly over sharpie?

Can I put Minwax brush on poly over a sharpie marker on top of spray paint?  Don't worry, it's not for a precious warmoth or anything, just a measuring tool I am making.

I think probably.  Just test it on scrap.

Spray poly would be better.

Whatever paint you used, see if there is "clear" in the same formulation.
