How do you fix spot coming through painted guitar?

Just Joined and new to painting guitar.
Doing a Strat build and just painted this Warmoth Mahogany body, filled grain, 7 coats of primer, 9 coats paint.
Tried to fix a tiny spot on front and this happened,In pics. spot came through.
What's best way to fix? bought more paint(dupli color) but afraid it wont cover it and waste it.
Can I prime over this and apply more paint?
Gonna clear coat when done.

sand the area smooth with 600 grit and then paint a new coat of color

How many coats do you think to cover it?
Will it sand off when I sand it before clear coat?

No just after.

Your coat counts are really high for no sanding. Its possible this flaked off because the coats did not adhere to each other.

I would read the product data sheets for the product you bought and see what the recommended sanding is. 400 or 600 grit is typical. I would level sand the whole guitar, do one more coat of color then sand with 600 or 800 and start the clear process. But you dont need a billion coats just follow the PDS for your clear coat product.

Ok Thanks alot for the help.
I shouldn't of messed with it,it did look good but there were a couple white spots there,size of salt. no big deal but I tried to cover with small
paint brush and it pulled paint off.

That would be best. The brushing on too soon before it fully cured took the paint off.

Still pretty sure the solvents in the coating took the paint off. Or something wasn't fully cured beneath (leading back to the first sentence).
