For a neck, is it necessary to use both buffing compound and polish or can you get away with only one or the other? Also what's an easy way to remove them if you want to add more finish? Thanks.
Buffing needs to be done if you do not have a perfect finish because you will have to wet sand it to get out the imperfections. If your finish is perfect then you can just polish it.
Use benzene to wipe it off if you want to add finish.
