Planning a non-Warmoth build chock full of Paul Gilbert goodness

The body is here and it’s pretty much straight outta da CNC. Need to do some roundovers and contour the heel before we can talk paint, and I’m running out of painting weather fast! Good news is the neck pocket is snug and the holes line up.

How do you like the Five Alarm body compared to a Warmoth? I have been wanting to do a radius and he offers that.
Haven’t really dove into it but it’s a nice chunk of basswood and the edges are all eased, feels like it went on a belt sander with 220? So not *straight* of the CNC. Time will tell with assembly!

Did some headstock scraping, made a little booboo but I think it’s okay for a first time?

This looks great! Thanks for the thoughts on the body.

I’m quite upset I did not realize I ran out of 320 and 400gr to smooth this first coat of primer, and I am running out of painting weather. Will try to get coat 2 of primer on tonight, and maybe color on by Thursday, but the clear is either going to have to go on indoors or in the springtime. I suppose I could get a space heater for the garage ;(

Looking great ! I do the heater in the garage thing sometimes on the winter, but of course TX winters aren't that cold......
