Pickup routing space tolerance

Hi,

I have received a Gecko-5 that I had routed by Warmoth for the pickups. There appears to be about a 1/16" around the circumference of the pickups. Is this normal? The pickups are non-standard (Delano soapbar). But I gave them a PDF with diemnsions and had the pickups shipped to them on their order so that the route would be done properly. Has anyone of you experienced this gap with your instruments?

What kind of wood and is there a finish?

I didn't specify a gap. I assumed it would be a close tolerance. It looks like a better match to the Bassline PUs. I sent the PUs to be used to them at their request.

The woods are bubinga body with a walnut top. The finish is clear gloss.
