Customer has ordered this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JbassVAfOW--squier-affinity-series-jazz-bass-v-olympic-white-with-maple-fingerboard

And wants to order this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124660336956

Problem is, Fender/Squier has no posted dimensions to reference.

Anybody have one of these that they wouldn’t mind jotting down the length/width of each pickup for me please?

I may have found my answer.
Measuring a current similar instrument, being a Squier Jazz 5 with no pick guard and a passive/active setup from a customers instrument on the workbench, I compared some stock 4 string Jazz set pickup covers against this Squier 5 string config.

Squier is using the Neck housing specs of a 4 string for their 5 string active bridge and neck pickups.  Both the neck and bridge are the identical housing, which now begs the question.

If I were to get two EMG Actives in the 4 string short housing individually, would the dog ears to mount to the body line up?

Geesh Fender/Squier, why do you gotta make it hard on the consumer?

AFAIK there are 2 sizes each for 5-string J neck and bridge PU's and the dog ear locations are standardized for each of those variants.

Both SD and EMG have diagrams that show the exact dog ear spacing for their different 5-string J variants on their sites if you can verify what type the body is routed for.

i mean... the obvs (short of obvious) solution seems to be to just wait until, like, u have the bass and measure it before ordering the pick. ups. sometimes u gotta reduce your consciousness to an empty husk to see da truth
