I thought it would be nice to have a list of all pickups that I’ve read about here on the forum. Since coming here I’ve been introduced to so many brands I’ve never heard of and thought that perhaps that too would be nice for others here to have – a place to find all (hopefully) brands and links (if possible) to their homepages.
But then I thought: wouldn’t it be cool to see what we actually have in our guitars. So instead of just a list I thought I’d put up a clickable thingy. A poll thing, but it’s not meant to be like a poll, more like an infogram.

I don’t think it’s possible to have the poll thingy update itself to be alphabetized, so brands that will be added later will be further down as I add them.
But you can always find things on a web page by clicking Ctrl+F (Find) and Firefox, Chrome or your browser of choice will highlight your search.
I’m sure I have missed some (many?) brands, and if you know/think of any that’s missing, PM me and I’ll add them to the list.

Well some pickups I have that I do not see listed are:

Tim White
OX4
Zhangbucker
JM Rolph

Added!
(Although I couldn't find a link to Tim White Pickups. I did see some mentions about his pickups no longer being available though. Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

This is an awesome idea. Gives some of us who are only just new to modding guitars a wider range of pickups that we could look at.

Thanks Axkoa!
Yes, that was the whole idea. I've played for many years, but not before coming to this forum did I see all these cool pickup brands. Hopefully it can be a source of inspiration and information for others as well.

Okey-doke. I marked mine and also Seymour Duncan since that is what I will have in my JM as soon as I start assembling it.

I recently used a set of Iconix pickups. Hadn't heard of them before, but apparently he has a fairly extensive line you can see here.

Cool idea and an impressive lot of work you've done there!

For your consideration, here are a couple that I use that are not listed:

Rumpelstiltskin

Analogman

Thanks for the heads up guys. They're all added now.

What happens when someone gets another brand of pickups and they have already voted. Is there a possibility to add them ?

I was just now checking that option. I might have to hear with a forum administrator, because I thought I saw it before, but now I can't see it.  :icon_scratch:

Perhaps it had been set as time sensitive, because I saw before that I could have removed my vote and presumably added it again.

So I did see it! You might be right, sounds logical.
I've PM'd Cagey to see if he knows anything about it.

I reset the poll to allow vote changes, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. May need to do a vote reset for that change to take effect. If y'all want me to try that, I will. Now's probably the time, before too many people have time invested.

Incidentally, I made the thread sticky - this is gonna be a resource people are gonna wanna use a lot, I think.

I now see a Remove vote option (I knew I thought I saw that before) and I'll try to do that. Remove my vote and then cast it again with another selection as well (I remembered I have an Ibanez lying around with stock pickups, so I'll add that to the list...)

But perhaps the Remove vote disappears after a while as Stratamania suggested. Hmm, we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Yepp, I was able to "add" another brand by removing my original "vote" and then adding the ones I had from the start plus the new addition.
I hope this feature doesn't go away though ...  :icon_scratch:

Thanks a bunch, much appreciated! :icon_thumright:

I think the "Remove vote" is how this forum's software implements the "change vote" function. I'm seeing that choice now, too, and I just reset my votes to add one. Seems to work the way you'd expect, although you have to go through the whole list and enter your votes all over again.
