Pickguard for Dinky P bass

Hi!

I'm still tinkering with my new build, and have some questions for y'all. I want a Precision style body, but contemplating getting the slightly downsized Dinky. I also want to get a pick guard on it to get is a classic as possible, so wondering if anyone has advice on how I should go about with it? Also, since the Dinky is back routed, will that create conflict with the pick guard when it comes to mounting pots thru both the wood holes _and_ the pick guard?

You might leave off the bottom nut if you need more thread to avoid having to go to the really tall LP pots.

I'd just trace the body for a pickguard template. Some of the custom pickguard places will do true custom and not just your choice of holes. Give them the artwork and they'll cut it. They're all around $50, which is an ouch for a pickguard but not so bad in the scheme of a custom guitar I suppose.
