Peavey Raptor Plus Carcass

So i was digging around in my closet trying to find an old set of pickups, when i heard a faint cry hour help.
In the corner sat the striped down, bare carcass of my first ever electric guitar. She was a Peavey Raptor Plus. It had a 3 tone sunburst finish and a rosewood board. She was named Alexis, and it was back in my earlier punk days (Good Charlotte was my role model) and it was covered in stickers. Full of angst! When i got more serious, and bought better guitars, I stripped 'er down, planning to buy new parts, but then we moved, and i put her aside. Until now!

Sorry for the long story  :laughing7:
Does anyone have any suggestions? Finish? I'm getting a new neck abd I'm thinking a maple neck would be nice. Pickups?

Let me know what you think!
(Ignore my 12-year-olf plans to cut it up that i scribbled out...)

Since it is a plywood, solid color.  Since its from the 80s...something wild.  I like metal flake.... :toothy10:

What are all those X's all over the body?  Planning a little wood working?  :)

Hahaha... when I was about twelve, I had the genious idea to take it to the band saw and cut it into the shape of an ax... good thing I decided not to.

That would look cool, I'm thinking possibly a flipflip colour (the dupli-color kit, to be exact). that would make it pop.
