Ok, the body and neck for my Van Halen Frankenstein were ordered about 2 hours ago. I'm totally stoked about this. For now, here are the pics from Warmoth's page.

And I'm really digging on the look of this neck. I'm hoping it's really gonna POP when the finish gets put on.

It's getting prepped for an R4 Floyd Rose, 6105 stainless frets, and will be finished with clear satin nitro.

The body is going to be routed SSH and the tremolo will be a flat mount Floyd Rose.

I'm stoked!!!

Awesome pic!! I guess I should mention that although it will be relic'd I'm not having the hum cavity tore up like that and I won't be relicing the pup. Other than those 2 things it should be full on.

Don't think Warmoth would do a hack job on the Hum rout for you.  :icon_biggrin:
But the old Dremel tool will really do the work.

If I even do a EVH styled strat it is definitely going to be "inspired by" and not all disgusting with terrible routs and the exact paint job.

An interesting variation can be had if you invert the colors. You get black, white, and.... seafoam green!

Looking good so far mully.

And hmmm why do i get  the evil idea of getting a black guitar, spraying it purple and while the paint is dry/moderately dry just letting a big cat go to town on it so you have hopefully purple to black claw marks instead of stripes  :evil4:
