Painting over stain - how long to let stain dry?

Howdy!  I just got a lovely Poplar Jazzmaster that I stained with Minwax oil based stain.  I don't like the color, so now I'm going to paint it.  I have not poly-ed over the stain.  How long should I let the stain dry before I prime and paint it?  One week good enough?

Plenty. Stain dries/cures really fast.
