Hi everyone
first post and hope to get a new guitar
this would be my first custom guitar, and since I don't know much about finish it would be better that WARMOTH do the finish , the thing is that I would like some custom graphics, something simple like stars and flames
I wonder if there is a way to paint over the finish, perhaps with car spray cans.
or should I do all the paints and finish? (with some help I think)

Greetings from Peru.

If you want to pain graphics on the guitar, buy a unpainted alder guitar (you don't have to fill the grain on alder), prime it and paint it.  If you prep the surface you can paint it with any decent spray paint.

I would watch the deals page (http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/showcase_deals.cfm) and pick up an unpainted body.

You can check existing strings in the DIY Finishing sections for specifics.

Have fun!

For what it's worth.  I asked Warmoth to do the 'custom' 8-ball graphic on my strat build earlier this year.

It saved me a job, and it came out great.  They might be able to do something for you if you ask.  But then you would miss out on the fun of trying it yourself.
I wasn't confident enough or have the tools/paints/skills to do a good job, so they did it for me.  Came out great.
